Introduction
Ethane ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Ethane platform — a decentralized application that provides cryptocurrency and on-chain trading, bridging, staking, and portfolio management services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you when you use our website and application at ethane.app and any associated services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
Ethane is a non-custodial platform. We do not hold, control, or have access to your private keys or the digital assets in your wallets.

- Wallet addresses — both embedded wallets created through the Service and external wallets you connect
- Any other information you choose to provide when contacting us or using platform features
Information Collected Automatically

Information From Third Parties
- Publicly available information on blockchains, including transaction IDs, amounts, timestamps, and wallet addresses

How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create, maintain, and secure your account

- Administer the referral program and calculate rewards
- Deliver push notifications about transaction status and platform updates, where you have given consent

We do not sell your personal information to third parties and do not use your data for behavioral advertising.
How We Disclose Your Information
We may disclose your information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — we share information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as authentication, infrastructure hosting, blockchain data services, and analytics. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide those services.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Protection of rights — we may disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ethane, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your consent — we may share information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.
Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party protocols, infrastructure providers, and decentralized applications to function — including authentication providers, blockchain RPC providers, DEX aggregators, bridge protocols, and market data services. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies and terms, which govern their handling of any data passed to them.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through the platform.
Certain interactions — such as submitting a transaction to a blockchain network — are inherently public and governed by the protocols and networks involved, not by us.
Blockchain & Public Data
Blockchain networks are public by design. Any transaction you broadcast — including swaps, bridges, and stakes initiated through Ethane — is permanently and publicly recorded on the relevant blockchain. We have no ability to alter or delete on-chain data. Your wallet address and transaction history on public blockchains are visible to anyone.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Push notification subscription data is deleted promptly when you revoke notification permissions or delete your account.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Where processing is based on consent (such as push notifications), you may withdraw that consent at any time via your browser settings.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@ethane.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
